Terms of use

The rules for using this website and its request form.

Last reviewed 5 October 2026 by Pete, editor (not a clinician). Prices checked 5 October 2026.

Private CT is an information and introduction service run by PASECOM GROUP LTD. We are not a clinic and do not give medical advice, scan, diagnose, refer or hold a slot. Prices come from centres' own pages and can change. A centre's own quote, terms and decision on justification are what count.

Who are we?

PASECOM GROUP LTD, trading as Private CT, company number 17139327, registered in England and Wales, registered office 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE. Contact: hello@private-ct.co.uk or 01455 242326. By using this website you agree to these terms.

What is the service?

We publish information about private CT scans in England: centres' published prices, referral rules and what prices include. If you use the form, we can pass your request to one independent imaging centre that covers your area so it can contact you. That is the whole service. We are not a clinic, not the NHS, not a radiology service and not a referrer.

Is anything on this site medical advice?

No. The editor, Pete, is not a clinician. The information is general and may not apply to you. If you have symptoms that worry you, contact your GP or NHS 111.

How accurate are the prices?

We copy prices from centres' own pages and show the date checked. Centres can change prices and rules at any time. The quote and terms the centre gives you are what count.

What happens when I submit a request?

It is a request for contact, not a booking. If a partner centre covers your area, it may call or email you. Nothing is booked until you agree a time and price with it, and a referrer and the centre's practitioner must still agree the scan is justified. If no centre covers your area, the next page says so and nobody will contact you about that request. Your contract for any scan is with the centre, not with us.

Do I pay you anything?

No. A partner centre may pay us a fee for the introduction. See how we make money.

What must I not do?

Submit a request for someone else without their permission, give false details, send spam or abuse, or interfere with the website.

Our liability to you

We take reasonable care, but we do not promise the information is complete, current or suitable for you. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on it, or for what a centre does. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Price rows link to centres' own sites. A link is not a recommendation, and a listed centre is not necessarily a partner.

Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Complaints about our service: email hello@private-ct.co.uk and we will reply within 14 days. Complaints about a scan go to the centre first; you can also contact the Care Quality Commission about a registered provider.

What should you know before you ask for a CT?

This is not medical advice. We cannot tell you whether you need a CT scan. CT uses ionising radiation, so the law says every scan must be justified: a practitioner at the centre must decide the benefit outweighs the risk, using the details your referrer supplies (IR(ME)R 2017). No centre can promise a scan without that check, and a centre can say no. Some centres ask their own clinician to confirm the scan is appropriate. Many still want a letter from your GP or a specialist.

Insured scans need a referral and pre-authorisation from your insurer before you book. Contrast dye is often extra and is not for everyone. A centre may ask for a kidney-function blood test first, and you should tell it about allergies, kidney problems or diabetes medicine.

Chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, signs of a stroke, a head injury, or coughing up blood are not for this website or its form. Call 999.

Is submitting the form a booking?

No. It is a request for a centre to contact you. Nothing is booked until you agree a time and price with the centre.

Who is responsible for my scan?

The centre that scans you. Your agreement for the scan is with the centre, not with us.
